Last night I had a dream where I was on a fishing boat with 2 others. We were trolling for mahi. I then saw a big school of mahi and yelled “battle stations”. Then I remember I casted a line and hooked a BIG mahi - bull mahi! I felt adrenaline and was yelling like a pirate. I was fighting it for a long time then my crew and I saw it catch flight 50 meters from the stern. We all were pumped. I told one mate to man the gaff. The other mate was reeling in the trolling reels. A small skip into the dream where I was still fighting it amidst the bow. It catches flight again 20m away and it was huge! The bull then swam so fast to 120 portside that the rod was bending heavy and I was still on the bow. I rushed to the stern fighting it aggressively and all of a sudden I yoinked it on deck. Told my mate with the gaff to hammer dead so we make sure it’s under control because it wasn’t that long of a fight. Small skip in the dream and I’m on the crow’s nest to weigh it and it read above 120lbs!
